# Translation and Language Policy

# Translation and Language Policy

## 1. Authoritative language

Persian (`fa`) is the source and authoritative language of the EarthCoop foundational documents. English (`en`) and Arabic (`ar`) versions are translations unless a competent EarthCoop authority explicitly approves a translated text as co-authoritative.

## 2. Stable legal identifiers

Document IDs and article identifiers are never translated or renumbered. For example, `FC-001`, `CO-014`, and `DG-038` must remain identical in every language.

## 3. Version parity

Each translated page must declare:

* source document ID;
* source version;
* translation language;
* translation status;
* review status;
* date of last synchronization.

A translation must not display a higher version than its Persian source.

## 4. Translation status

Permitted statuses are:

* `not-started`;
* `machine-assisted-draft`;
* `editorial-review`;
* `specialist-review`;
* `approved-translation`;
* `out-of-sync`.

Machine-assisted translation may accelerate drafting, but it is not considered approved legal text without human editorial and specialist review.

## 5. Terminology

A shared glossary must be used for recurring concepts, including justice, common ownership, common ownership right, legitimate private ownership, participation, supervision, NajmBahar, Bahar, faded Bahar, active Bahar, NajmHoda, guild, specialist assembly, and local community.

Terms carrying a defined EarthCoop meaning should be translated consistently and may retain a transliteration in parentheses where needed.

## 6. Change control

When a Persian source changes:

1. its version or change record is updated;
2. dependent translations are marked `out-of-sync`;
3. changed articles are translated again;
4. reviewers verify legal meaning and cross-references;
5. translation status and synchronization date are updated.

## 7. Review responsibility

Translations should be reviewed by both language professionals and relevant EarthCoop guilds or specialist assemblies. Legal documents require review by jurists and legal translators; economic documents by economic and financial specialists; technical documents by technology specialists.

## 8. Conflict rule

Until a translation is formally approved as co-authoritative, the Persian source prevails in any conflict of wording, interpretation, numbering, or legal effect.
