Preamble

In the name of the Creator of life and wisdom EarthCoop is founded on the principle that the Earth, natural resources, vital reserves, the environment, outer space, and humanity’s shared heritage of knowledge are subjects of a common right. No individual, group, company, government, institution, or generation may claim absolute, exclusive, and unaccountable ownership over them. Justice in EarthCoop means placing everything in its proper place and giving every right to its rightful holder. On this basis, the first condition of justice on Earth is to recognize the Earth in its true place: the shared heritage of all living beings, all human beings, all communities, and all generations. EarthCoop is established to transform this common right into legal, economic, technological, social, and ethical mechanisms. It is a cooperative system in which people may consciously and systematically govern the future of the Earth and human society through fundamental equality, common ownership, voluntary participation, public oversight, shared responsibility, and fair use. This document is the Foundational Document of EarthCoop and its law of laws. The validity of every charter, law, statute, regulation, technical standard, smart contract, software system, institutional decision, and executive action of EarthCoop depends on its consistency with this document.
