EarthCoop Account Setup: Identity, Expertise, and Residence

EarthCoop registration is a structured process rather than a single sign-up form. The current product supports the established email/password path and an implemented Google authentication path. Whichever supported authentication path starts the account, a member still has to satisfy the current EarthCoop registration requirements and complete the profile dimensions used for membership and governance.

Before registration

You must accept the governing terms before the applicable registration flow can be completed. EarthCoop can also operate with an invitation gate. When that gate is enabled for the deployment, the account/registration flow must satisfy the current invitation policy rather than bypass it through a different authentication provider.

Create or authenticate the account

Email/password path

Provide a valid email address and password in the registration form. A phone number may also be supplied where the current form allows it. After the account record is created, EarthCoop sends the verification step required by the current email-registration flow.

Google path

EarthCoop also has a current Google OAuth authentication/registration flow. A Google identity can establish the authenticated account path, but it does not remove EarthCoop's own agreement, eligibility, profile-completion, profession/expertise, or Primary Residence requirements. Provider authentication proves the external sign-in identity; EarthCoop still controls the member-registration state.

A supported authentication method is not a shortcut around EarthCoop registration. The member profile and governance dimensions remain EarthCoop data and must be completed under the current product rules.

Complete the member profile

After the authentication/verification stage, the registration flow continues through the member-information steps. The exact visible fields are controlled by the current product, but the important architecture is stable:

  1. Identity information establishes the real member profile.
  2. Profession and expertise provide the structured occupational/specialty dimensions used by the system.
  3. Primary Residence establishes the canonical geographic/governance relationship used for local membership and wider governance topology.

These dimensions feed EarthCoop's automatic system-group model. They are not merely recommendation tags.

Profession and expertise

Choose the occupational and expertise information that accurately describes your current work and competencies. EarthCoop uses these structured dimensions when resolving professional and specialty memberships across the relevant geographic hierarchy.

Keep this information current when your professional situation changes. Changes can affect which professional/specialty system groups are relevant to your profile.

Primary Residence and base governance

Step 3 uses EarthCoop's canonical Location/Governance model. The member selects a Primary Residence through the available geographic hierarchy until reaching the base governance level that is valid for the selected topology.

The hierarchy is not forced into one rigid shape. Current supported structural cases include:

  • a city with urban regions and neighborhoods;
  • a city without an urban region;
  • an urban region without a neighborhood;
  • a village without a neighborhood.

Where a lower governance level does not exist, the highest valid available settlement/governance level becomes the base. A valid proposed location can also remain pending review while the registration/residence workflow preserves the member's intent according to the current pending-proposal contract.

Support for a pending location proposal can make it ready for review, but support is not administrative approval.

Local address below the registration base

Registration stops at the required base-governance level. Street and smaller local-address levels are optional after registration, rather than mandatory Step 3 fields.

Depending on the local topology, the optional address can continue through supported micro-levels such as Street, Alley, Complex and Building. These details improve local-address precision but do not replace the canonical Primary Residence/governance relationship.

Automatic memberships after registration

After the required profile dimensions are complete, EarthCoop can materialize or assign the relevant system memberships automatically. These include public-assembly, professional/specialty, and age/gender dimensions at the applicable geographic levels.

Your role and participation rights can differ by level. Being represented in a higher-level system group does not automatically grant the same direct participation rights as an Active member at the local/base level.

Editing your profile later

Use the profile and Location/Governance surfaces to review and update supported profile information. Residence/governance changes are subject to the canonical location rules and should not be treated as a simple free-text address edit.

Product-language preferences and documentation-language status are separate from the legal status of EarthCoop documents. Persian remains the canonical language for the current foundational/reference set; English product guides are reviewed against current implementation, and Arabic renditions become current only after review.
