How to Invest in Cooperative Projects on EarthCoop

EarthCoop includes current project-investment surfaces, but an investment must be understood as a contractual economic relationship rather than a guaranteed return. A project's approval means that it passed the applicable review decision; it does not guarantee profitability, insurance, liquidity, completion, or an automatic payment to the project owner.

Bahar and monetary state

Bahar is the EarthCoop monetary unit. Gol is the subunit of Bahar (1 Bahar = 100 Gol).

Najm Bahar also distinguishes monetary state:

  • Dim Bahar exists but is not spendable between independent economic actors.
  • Active Bahar can participate in a valid Transfer subject to the current policy, account permissions and system gates.

Moving money between an owner's own eligible accounts does not create new Bahar and does not by itself constitute Activation.

Dim Bahar cannot be sent to another independent person or entity merely because an investment record exists. A lawful Activation route must be satisfied before cross-owner spendable value can move.

Browsing investment opportunities

The current product contains investment-oriented project records and user interfaces. Before committing value, review the information actually shown for the project, including its owner, scope, category, financing method, risk information, review state and applicable terms.

An approved project status is a review fact. It is not evidence that project financing has already been collected or that funds are available for execution.

Creating an investment record

Where the current investment workflow is available, an eligible member can record an investment intention or investment relationship for an approved project. The precise payment path must follow Najm Bahar's canonical transfer rules.

The important distinction is:

investment intention / record ≠ executed Transfer

A payment is real only when the monetary ledger records the valid movement of existing Active Bahar through the applicable executor. Documentation must not infer payment merely from an investment status field.

Returns and risk

Project terms may describe an expected financial return or another economic entitlement. That description is part of the project/investment contract; it is not a system guarantee.

Before committing value, consider at least:

  • project and execution risk;
  • the applicable financing method;
  • whether any specialized investment insurance actually applies;
  • the project's reporting and oversight arrangement;
  • the conditions for completion, cancellation, refund, loss allocation, or distribution of value.

Specialized investment insurance, where applicable, must come from the authorized independent insurance-cooperative architecture. A project listing or approval badge is not itself insurance coverage.

Public-project financing

Public projects follow a stricter reference architecture. Support is not approval; approval is not Transfer. The ECON chain separates Commitment, Activation, and Transfer before spendable value reaches the project fund.

For the full sequence, see the Projects overview.

Current product boundary

The current product has real project and investment services. Some advanced economic mechanisms and their complete end-to-end linkage to the ECON reference architecture remain In development. This guide therefore documents verified monetary boundaries rather than promising a payout, return formula, cancellation behavior, or fund movement that is not independently proven by the current contract and implementation.
